ICFM Workshop 2019

Food- and Airborne Fungi – Challenges for Food Safety and Supply will be held in Freising, Germany  from June 3 to 5, 2019.

The meeting is open to participants from academia and industries interested in the field of food mycology. Current research in food mycology will be presented as oral or poster presentations.

Date: June 3-5, 2019

Registration fee: € 550,- will include single room accommodation for three nights (check-in June 2 2019, check-out June 5 2019), breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 coffee breaks per day as well as conference materials and a conference dinner. Additional nights on Saturday prior to the meeting or after the meeting can be booked for € 53,- including breakfast or 73,- € full board.

Additional information: The TUM School of Life Sciences Weihenstephan at Freising is one of three campuses of Technical University of Munich. It is a leading center for food, brewing and nutrition research in Germany.  The 50,000 citizen community of Freising is situated in the heart of Europe, only a 30 minute train ride north east from the city of Munich. The airport is served directly from most European cities and many overseas destinations. MUC Airport has a direct bus connection to the conference venue (20 min). The city of Freising is well known for its rich ecclesiastic history with the Freising Cathedral (built in 1205) as one of the two home churches to the archbishop of Munich and Freising, an office once held by Cardinal Josef Ratzinger, pope emeritus Benedikt XVI. The conference will be held at “Pallotti-Haus Freising”, a former monastery now used as a center for training and education with lecture rooms and accommodation for participants in single and double rooms.

Participants are invited to submit titles and abstracts for oral and poster presentations until 1st April 2019. The final program will be available from 1st May 2019
