Photo ChulzeProf. Dr. Chulze is leader of an interdisciplinary research group including microbiologists, chemists, agronomic engineers that actively carry out research on pathogen and toxigenic fungi and mycotoxins on cereal grains (wheat and maize) and oily seeds (peanuts and soybean). The main activities are related to reduce the impact of Fusarium and Aspergillus contamination and mycotoxins through an integrated management. The research group has done an important contribution to the knowledge fungal populations of Fusarium, Aspergillus and Alternaria and on occurrence of mycotoxins in cereals, oil seeds and grapes from Argentina. Also extension activities are carried out devoted to farmers, industry, private and official control laboratories. She graduated as Bachelor in Microbiology (1977) and Dr in Biological Sciences (1987) at the National University of Rio Cuarto, Río Cuarto, Córdoba, Argentina. As Full Professor, she has teaching experience on courses for undergraduate students on: General Mycology, General Microbiology, Food Microbiology, and for graduate students on Food Mycology and Mycotoxicology, and Fusarium  workshops. Associate editor of Toxins, Mycotoxin Research, World Mycotoxins Journal, Revista Argentina de Microbiología, co-authored > 160 papers in peer-reviewed Journals. Director of the Research Institute on Mycology and Mycotoxicology (IMICO) CONICET-UNRC from 2018 at present.
